Welcome Baby! with Popcorn.

G'day again!
Those of you that stop by regularly know that I used the same stamp (Popcorn Bear - Shooting Star by Crafters Companion) yesterday... in fact i coloured two simultaneously as I have so many cards that need making for the year! This card took me a while to put together since I had NEVER made a rosette before... ta da!  I went looking for my stork stamp.... *gone* asked Mr T who always knows where everything is in my office (funny that!)... "Yes Mum you have one." "Where?" *shrug* ... at that point I called off the search and put it down that the stork has hopefully gone across the road to the neighbours house to deliver a baby... I hope for her sake! (That's who the card is for.)
So online I went... and woo hoo SVG file... that works with my Silhouette Cameo... so the Stork freebie is from craft gossip - thank you so much for having that online!  So it got resized, traced, drawn (I LOVE my new pen holder!), offset and cut (times 2) and then coloured with my trusty Faber Castell Pencils.

I then scored the card base and cut it using my Ultimate Crafter's Companion.  I then cut the white "mats"merging the biggest base one with "Crocheted Lace"Silhouette file which I edited to give a more finished look - rather than ending ragged at the edges.
I then spent some time looking for my silicone embossing mat... only to remember I gave it to a friend lol... so to the kitchen!?!  Yes really... to the kitchen!  Grabbed a square silicone baking tray I had picked up at the $2 shop.  Grabbed some scissors and hacked out the base (Hubby's face was a picture at this point - baring in mind it was 9pm and I am in my PJs lol)... Quick explanation and back to the craft room.
I grab my Fiskars plates and find the one called "Prints" which is a baby foot and hand print type design.  I had never used this particular one before so that is another craft item that has now been used! :-)  (For my Cuttlebuggers... A plate, Fiskars Texture Plate, cardstock, Embossing Mat [baking tray lol], C plate).  This does not give as deep an impression as the embossing folders but it does suffice!

I used the Provocraft / Cuttlebug "Vintage" die to make the two corners as it needed something and being a "boy" card... no flowers!  Then it was just a matter of sticking it all together.

    1. Thanks for stopping in Julie! What glue are you using? I use PVA to join the ends then let it dry then hot glue in the middle and hold it firm until it sets. Hope this helps *hugs* Happy Crafting, Sarah
